This weekend I was at V&A in OpenframeworksLab, an activity part of Decode exhibition. A meeting in which several projects were developed collaboratively with openFrameworks programming. The work environment, projects and relationships with people was exceptional. I felt especially lost because of my low level programming knowledge, but I found very interesting and I’ve started my adventure with this book.
Kyle McDonald worked in the workshop in his open-source project called Homemade 3d Scanner which he has developed over the last year. A scanner in 3D working in real-time and low cost if you compare it with those in the market.
You can read a tutorial how it works in an earlier version: http://www.instructables.com/id/Structured-Light-3D-Scanning/

Kyle McDonald also created a project called Keytweeter that functions as a keylogger, an application that records everything you type on your keyboard and send random text snippets to your account on Twitter, 140 characters at once.
Keytweeter is a performance of one year ending next June 30 and that even now fired nearly 26,000 messages. An exploration of the border between the “information” and “control”, and personal identity, between public and personal information.
